Tempering
For over a quarter-of-a-century Swift Glass has been providing tempered glass. Tempering glass increases its resistance to thermal shock by two to three times. Also, the glass itself is made three to four times stronger than an identical piece of non-tempered glass. Tempered glass is used on:
Typical glass that we can temper include: float glass (1/8” to 1/1/4”), Pyrex® glass (1/8” to ¾”), and Borofloat™ (1/8” to ¾”). Sizes range from 1” square to 36” x 72”.
